Keys Lewis Keyes Heritage Scholarship

 

The KLKHS is available to students demonstrating excellent academic achievement and outstanding personal qualities and would like to pursue a college education or an advance training certificate. You must be a high school senior seeking college enrollment, a current college enrollee e.g., freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or enrolled in an advance certified training program to be eligible for this award.

The KLKHS scholarship committee shall accept applications from January 1 with April 1 as the deadline. Late, or incomplete, applications will not be accepted. However, the revised criteria broadens eligibility from high school senior seeking college enrollment through the college senior year and for persons enrolled in a professional course of instruction seeking a professional certificate.

 

Awards are available annually and shall be announced by June 30th. (This is a one-time only scholarship…you cannot win multiple awards).

Who Can Apply? 

The applicant eligibility requirements are as follows:

 

  • Verified member of the Keys-Lewis- Keyes Family

  • High school senior on track to graduate in the scholarship year - minimum GPA 2.75.

  • High school senior who has applied to an accredited college or university.

  • Active college freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior maintaining GPA 3.0.

  • Active student in professional/vocational training, with high rank endorsement.

  • Shall not be a child of a member serving on the selection committee.

  • Shall have a complete application package submitted by the deadline.

  • Must have taken the SAT/ACT examination.

Program Status

 

Due to generous donations from family, the KLK Heritage Scholarship Program is in good financial standing. Times ahead are promising for youth endeavoring to earn education and training beyond general studies in high school.
